James B. Beerer founded James Beerer Insurance in 1949, establishing his business in downtown Norristown.  In 1960 he formed a partnership with Robert Kratz and it became known as Beerer and Kratz Real Estate and Insurance, with offices at 1904-06 Swede Road in East Norriton.  After Mr. Kratz’ passing, the name changed back to James B. Beerer, and offices relocated to its present address at 401 West Johnson Highway, East Norriton, PA, 19401.  In 1976 his son, Jonathan, joined the firm as an Associate Broker, and in 1979 purchased the Real Estate business.  That same year, Jon’s younger brother Erich joined the firm as an Insurance Associate, and purchased the insurance business in 1981.  This family owned business has built its reputation on service and integrity over 60 years serving Montgomery County, Pa. 

Jon Beerer, broker/owner of James Beerer Insurance has over 30 years experience.  Jon attended Norristown High School, and graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 1971 with a Bachelors Degree in Business, majoring in Real Estate & Insurance. Erich Beerer has been licensed in Property & Casualty Insurance since 1979, and is licensed in PA, DE & NJ.  After his purchase of the insurance agency from his father, James B.
